About

The "Or Gadol" exhibition is a unique showcase featuring works by approximately 70 artists, some of whom hail from the communities surrounding the Gaza strip and the northern region affected by the events of October 7. The exhibition took place at the Jaffa Port between December 7 and December 23, 2023. The "Or Gadol" exhibition has concluded, but a limited number of artworks from the event are still available for purchase online through this website.

Curated by Tali Ben Sira and produced by Tamar Ordan, the exhibition focused on paintings, sculptures, and installations that reference and respond to the current situation or anticipate and predict the present or future. The works aim to express the tension between anxiety and compassion on one hand, and heroism, resilience, collective action, and the renewed creation of life and normalization in Israel after the attacks, on the other.

Exhibition Objectives:

The "Or Gadol" exhibition seeks to serve as an expression of Israeli creativity and raise awareness about the events of October 7, emphasizing the importance of the rehabilitation of the surrounding communities. Proceeds from the sale of artworks will be directed towards the recovery efforts, with an emphasis on cultural and artistic institutions, as well as supporting the artists themselves.
